Snook's Nose Trail

This is a rocky, single track path used by intermediate to experienced hikers.  Trail crosses Slick Falls Branch climbing steeply within one mile, passing rock outcroppings on right.  Winding switchbacks narrow along rocky ridge with views, views, views.  From downtown Old Fort, take U.S. 70 east approximately 1.8 miles turning left onto Curtis Creek Road.  Driving approximately 5 miles to Curtis Creek Campground.  Trailhead is on left 0.4 miles beyond campground.  Between November and April, park at locked gate to walk to trailhead.  Campground is closed these months.  This is a 4 mile, strenuous loop.
