Trailhead begins inside the Old Fort Picnic Area with incredible views of Kitsuma Peak at trail end. Elevation is 3,165 ft. Directions from US Hwy. 70 in Old Fort, drive west to first right onto Old Hwy. 70 to intersection at Mill Creek Road. Old Fort Picnic Area is on left, open May through October. This 7 mile hiks is moderate to strenuous and is also used for mountain biking.
