Did you know? Our very own Mountain Gateway Museum in Old Fort, North Carolina has been featured in PBS's "North Carolina Weekend" as one of their "Family Finds.”
We're honored and grateful to have this small yet robust museum in our little town of Old Fort, and it makes us feel even more special knowing the amazing team that keeps the history alive in our community.
We spoke with Mountain Gateway Museum Director RoAnn Bishop about the latest feature as a Family-Focused destination. Excited that her museum has caught attention across the state as a museum that offers year-round exhibits and programs, she stated:
“Being highlighted on North Carolina Weekend’s “Family Finds” is like an early Christmas present for the Mountain Gateway Museum. Our museum here in Old Fort is, indeed, fun and educational for all ages. Our Christmas tree is up, our historic cabins are decorated, and we’re ready for the holidays. We hope a lot of families will find us and enjoy our exhibits, programs, and activities during this festive time of the year.”
